I needed a thank you card for a special friend, so I used the same design I had just used over the week end at our swap . I added some feminine touches and used colors she likes...I sure hope she likes it, I do.
The card base is river rock, with not quite navy and dp all by SU, I used SU's scalopped oval and large oval punches, and pop dots for the oval...the stamp belongs to a SU set as well.the butterfly was cut with a cuttle bug die and embossed with a one of the folders that came with the set

I am off to run errands today, in a morning of snow falling...it looks so pretty, I hope it does not create any problems for me along the way !...

I hope you all have a great day, and thanks for stopping in again.

My card from the masculine swap

As I said I would show you my card for the swap, here it is. We had a great time and the cards were all awesome...they had great colors, wonderful designs and ideas ... hope we can do another swap soon... I need to upload all of the cards, and when I get that done I will post some of them and give credit to who deserves it ... My oldest daughter and I both prefer this card with out the sentiment in the upper left corner, what do you think?

Well it looks like another busy weekend for us. We will start it off with a tournament basketball game for our oldest grandson, Cody tonight. Then depending on the out come of the game we will be at another game tomorrow .
On Sunday, I will be at a card swap set up by a good friend of the family, Sue A ...Both of my girls, Tammy and Krista and both grand daughters Ali and Brooke were invited to join. So that will be the third busy day , and I am sure it will be full of fun and great ideas.
I will post my card for the swap and maybe some of the others ones the first part of next week.
So til then, I hope you all have a great week end... I sure plan to.
Thanks for stopping in...

Happy Valentines Day...

Here is a card that I "remade" I started with a card that my youngest daughter designed her first year as being a SU demo. It really is straight, honest... but my scanner has a mind of it's own. I liked the main image, but I thought this paper worked well with it, so I simply, and I do mean very simply, changed her card a bit... I liked the clean lines, and the simple look... thanks for looking and I hope your day is full of love...

Hi, let me introduce myself...

Hello, I am a stay at home wife, married to a great guy for 30 plus years...I have 2 grown and beautiful daughters, and between them, they have blessed me with 4 wonderful grand children. My days are spent playing with my Shih Tzu named Daisy , playing in my craft room that was name "Soni's Front Porch" by a dear friend.
It is an enclosed front porch that we have turned into a craft / computer room and now have added a tread mill, so it is a busy place.
I have wanted to be able to share pictures of my family and creative work for some time now, and my friends thought I should have a blog...So here I am.I hope to be able to say hello, share more about my family and my life and even show some of my creative ideas...
I hope to post a card or two soon and maybe some pictures so you can see who we all are...

Have a great day now, I am off to look for some sun shine...
