Hello there, so how are all of you doing? I know this time of year can be so hectic and just plain busy . I am extra busy as I have several December birthdays as well as Christmas to get taken care of ..add in 5 grand children and it sure can get even more hectic around here . .But I love to see them get excited about Christmas, it makes it all worth while .
My first card was for my oldest grand daughter that just turned 15. She was also in a school play very recently ~ they performed Oliver Twist ~ I must say I was so amazed. These students did a spectacular job ~ we are blessed with a music teacher that goes one step beyond with these kids. She sees their ability and gets them to achieve so much.
I wanted something a little different than a typical teen age card. After her grown up role I decided on this...In her world , you can never go wrong with hot pink and black : )
I let the title on the music sheet be the sentiment on the front of the card and on the inside it said " to beautiful you " with pink and black trim .
I did spritz it with a touch of gold shimmer before I gave it to her...that really glitzed it up and made the gold shimmer on the ribbon blend in so well .
Next I did a card for the TPT group on SCS again. And wouldn't you know, it was to use a hint of PINK with silver ornament or snow flakes ... you can read the story here

I used a piece of shiny silver mirror card stock under the layer of pink pirouette snow flakes . I hope the shiny silver ornaments and soft pink snowflakes can carry a message of HOPE to Marlene this year ...I wish her and her family A Very Merry Christmas and a New Year full of Blessings
Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to visit... I hope your holiday season is going well.
And that the gift of love and time shared with those you love is at the top of your list ..
I hope to see you all again real soon , Take care...
Soni
Both cards are beautiful, Sonja. I love that pink with the silver ... just so subtle and soft. The card for Ali is perfect! :)
ReplyDeleteSoni, you weren't kidding about her performance. Saw the video that was shared and WOW! Can't believe how big the kids are getting.
ReplyDeleteThat card is darling. Okay, both of them are, lol.
GREAT creativity! :) Thanks for sharing more inspiration.
Hugs,
tam
So glad you stopped in Tam, and so happy you could see some of what Krista put on face book ...it was a great performand by all
DeleteI see things I wish I had done to these cards now... some day when I am not in a hurry or behind maybe I can get it right : )
Both cards are lovely, Soni. I loved the one for Ali in that it just fit the 'broadway' theme. So proud of her. But that Christmas card is very contemporary and feminine.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had used silver cord to hang the ornaments , sure would have finished it off ~ maybe someday I will not be in a hurry or distracted...
Deletethanks for stopping by Kel
