Pink in December

Hello there, so how are all of  you doing? I know  this time of year can be so  hectic and just plain busy .  I am extra  busy as I have several December birthdays  as well as Christmas to get  taken  care of ..add in  5 grand children  and  it sure can get  even more hectic around here . .But I love  to see them get excited  about Christmas, it makes it all worth while .

My first card was for my  oldest grand daughter that just turned 15.   She was also in  a school play very recently ~  they performed  Oliver Twist ~  I must say I was  so amazed.   These students  did a spectacular  job ~  we are blessed with a music  teacher that goes  one step beyond  with these kids.  She sees their ability  and  gets them  to achieve  so much.
I wanted something  a little different than a typical teen age card.  After her  grown  up role I decided on this...In her world , you can never go wrong with hot pink and black   : )
I let the  title on the music sheet be the sentiment on the front of the card  and  on the inside it said " to beautiful you "  with  pink and black trim .
I did spritz it with a touch of gold shimmer  before I gave it to her...that really  glitzed it up   and made the gold shimmer on the ribbon  blend in so well .

Next I did a  card  for  the TPT group on SCS  again.  And wouldn't you know, it was to use a hint of PINK with silver  ornament  or snow flakes   ...  you can read the story here

I used a piece of  shiny silver mirror card stock under the layer of pink pirouette snow flakes . I hope  the shiny silver  ornaments and  soft pink snowflakes  can carry a message of HOPE to Marlene  this year ...I wish her and her family A Very Merry Christmas and a New Year full of  Blessings

Thanks for  taking time out  of your busy schedule to  visit...  I hope your holiday season is going well.
And that the gift of love  and  time shared with those you love  is at the top of your list ..

I hope to see you all again  real soon , Take care...
Soni

  3. Both cards are lovely, Soni. I loved the one for Ali in that it just fit the 'broadway' theme. So proud of her. But that Christmas card is very contemporary and feminine.
